Did/Didn't: questions and negatives.

What will we achieve today?

Session Objective: Formulates questions and negative statements in the past simple using the auxiliary verb did/didn't.

Key Concepts

• Grammar: Use 'didn't + base verb' for negative sentences (e.g., 'I didn't go' NOT 'I didn't went').
• Questions: Use 'Did + subject + base verb...?' for Yes/No questions (e.g., 'Did you study?').
• Short answers: 'Yes, I did' / 'No, I didn't'.

Practical Challenge: Interrogation Game

Ask a classmate 3 questions about their yesterday activities using 'Did you...?' and record their answers using negatives when they say no.
