What will we achieve today?

Session Objective: Drafts the narrative structure of a family anecdote in English, integrating past simple verbs and future intentions.

Community Connection: We will connect this language structure to describe our own life experiences, family stories, and community realities in Popayán and the Cauca region.

• Project structure: Title, setting the scene (past of to be), the main action (regular/irregular verbs), and a future family plan (going to).
• Drafting stages: Brainstorming, outlining, writing, and peer-reviewing for verb form correctness.
• Connecting words: First, then, after that, finally.

Practical Challenge: Drafting My Story

Write the first draft of your family anecdote (60-80 words) using at least 5 past simple verbs and 1 future intention with going to.
