• Structure: Subject + was/were + verb-ing (e.g., 'At 7 PM yesterday, I was studying').
• Use: Temporary actions in progress in the past, setting the background scene of a story.
• Time signals: at this time yesterday, at 8 o'clock, this morning.

Practical Challenge: Snapshots in Time

Draw a wall clock showing a specific time. Underneath it, write 3 sentences describing what different family members 'were doing' at that exact moment.
