Key Concepts

• Present Perfect: Subject + have/has + past participle. Connects past to present (e.g., 'I have lived here for years').
• Past Perfect: Subject + had + past participle. Describing an action completed before another action in the past (e.g., 'When I arrived, they had left').
• Time indicators: already, yet, since, for, before, after.

Practical Challenge: Double Past Timeline

Draw a timeline with two past actions (e.g., waking up, teacher arriving) and write a sentence linking them using past perfect and past simple.
